Contact Command Properties

We’ve worked with Angie for about four years now. We originally met her when we tried to sell our townhouse the first time, but the market just wasn’t there, so we ended up renting it instead and used her as our property manager for the next three years.

As a military family, having someone we trusted managing the property while we were away was especially important. She was always incredibly responsive when something came up with the tenants, handled issues quickly, and had reliable vendors she could call when we needed something taken care of. When we finally decided to sell, it was an easy decision to use her again.

The house was under contract in less than three weeks, which was honestly much faster than we expected. She held multiple open houses, kept us updated throughout the process, and made everything pretty easy on our end, especially since we weren’t local.

We’ve had a really good experience with Angie both as our property manager and as our realtor. She’s responsive, easy to work with, and genuinely looks out for her clients. I’d absolutely recommend Angie and Command Properties to anyone looking for property management or a real estate agent in the Dumfries area, especially other military families who need someone dependable while they’re stationed elsewhere. If we ever buy or sell there again, we’d use them again.

I had an excellent experience with Command Properties throughout my more than five years as a resident. Sherrie Stanley, Melissa Moore and Angie McDaniel were consistently responsive, professional, helpful and genuinely kind.

Whenever I had a question, concern or needed assistance, the team communicated clearly and worked quickly to help. They made me feel valued as a resident and ensured that my experience, from day-to-day living through the move-out process, was smooth, respectful and well managed.

I truly loved living in the property and appreciated the care, reliability and personal attention the entire team provided. It is rare to find a property management company that combines professionalism with such warmth and humanity. I am grateful for my time with Command Properties, would gladly rent from them again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a trustworthy and responsive property management team.

I can't put it accurately into words the extent to which Angie, and her team at Command Properties, came through for us. We were overseas, and barely had to lift a finger....finding tenants, repairs, new tenants, a home sale...they did it all for us. Command Properties went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of, and our biggest asset was looked after. Today, trust, dignity and respect are rare qualities....but not with Command Properties. I would highly recommend them to my closest friends and family. They treated us like family, and I appreciated that. Must use, you will not find better, trust me.

I'll be honest, I was very hesitant about hiring a property manager. We had managed our rental ourselves for years, but transitioning to Angie at Command Properties was easy, and the peace of mind that came with it was so wonderful that I wish we had done it sooner. From the start, tenant screening was her strongest suit. She gave us options, explained who she thought would be the best fit and why, and the tenants she placed stayed long term, paid their rent consistently, and caused zero issues. When something broke, she got the call, not us. Appliances, cooling, whatever it was, she had someone who could fix it. It was completely hands-free, and more importantly worry-free, for us the entire time.

What makes Angie stand out as a property manager is the network of relationships she builds, not just with her clients but with tenants, vendors, and everyone in between. That network is how she gets things done, and it was honestly instrumental in how our story ended. When we decided to sell, the tenants who had been living in the home for five years ended up buying it, and Angie helped make that happen seamlessly because she had built a strong relationship with everyone involved. We have already recommended her to others and would call her again without question for property management, buying, or selling in the Northern Virginia area.

BLUF: Integrity is non-negotiable. If you want peace of mind knowing your property is in good hands, partner with Command Properties. They exceeded our expectations through PCS moves, deployments, and every challenge that came with being absentee homeowners.

Our family had an excellent experience working with Command Properties for almost 3 years.

As a military family, finding a property management company that understands the unpredictability of military life was important to us. The fact that they're veteran-owned and operated gave us confidence from the start, and they exceeded our expectations. While that military connection was a huge bonus for us, I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional property management company.

They took care of the entire cycle from professional photoshoots, listings, tenant screening, move-in, maintenance, move-outs, and inspections along the way. Everything was up to code. Communication was consistently prompt, professional, and transparent. They found outstanding long-term tenants for our home, kept us informed throughout the tenancy, and made the entire process easy, even while we were managing everything from across the country.

Their owner portal was another standout feature. It was intuitive and easy to use, allowing us to communicate with the team, access documents, review financial information, track maintenance, and stay on top of everything related to our property. Combined with their timely email communication, we always knew exactly what was happening.

Another thing that really stood out was their network of trusted vendors. Whether it was routine maintenance or unexpected weather-related issues, they coordinated everything quickly and professionally. We never had to scramble to find contractors or wonder whether repairs would be handled—they already had reliable people in place, and things were taken care of promptly.

The greatest value they provided wasn't just managing our property—it was peace of mind. Through deployments and demanding training cycles, knowing our home was being well cared for allowed us to focus on our family and our responsibilities instead of worrying about the property.

We're only ending our management agreement because we'll be moving back into the home. When the military takes us elsewhere, Command Properties will be my first call.

If you're looking for a property management company that communicates exceptionally well, leverages great technology, has a trusted network of vendors, and genuinely treats your home as if it were their own, I highly recommend Command Properties.

After five years of renting with Command Property Management, I can say without hesitation that they set the gold standard for property management. Angie, Sherrie, and Chelsea are an exceptional team, professional, personable, and genuinely easy to work with.
Communication has always been one of their strongest suits. We were never caught off guard by inspections, and any time maintenance was needed, whether it was a leak, an AC failure, or anything in between, our requests were handled quickly and efficiently. It's the kind of responsiveness that makes a house truly feel like a home.
What really sets Command apart is that the relationship doesn't stop at property management. Angie is also a seasoned realtor, and when the time came for us to purchase a home, we didn't hesitate to work with her. That trust we built over five years as renters carried right into one of the biggest decisions of our lives, and she delivered.

I've bought and sold many houses over 30 years in the military, and Angie and Rich at Command Properties are just different. When they say they're going to be there, they're there. When they say they're going to do something, they do it. That kind of reliability in a realtor is genuinely reassuring. They were advisors and business partners in the whole process, helping us figure out where to spend our time and money before we even listed, not just rearranging deck chairs, but doing things that actually moved the needle when it came time to sell.

When we sold our home in Bluemont, they staged it beautifully and had families lined up to see it before it even hit the market. By the end of the first day we had multiple clean offers. That doesn't happen by accident. Angie and Rich have the market knowledge and the trusted advisor mindset that make you feel like you're in good hands every step of the way. We absolutely recommend them to anyone we know.

I've already referred Angie and Rich to friends, I tell people if you're not able to be right there at the property, these are the professionals you want. Especially for fellow service members who are stationed elsewhere or just can't be there 100% of the time, having someone boots on the ground who can show up, let the plumber in, and make sure things are done properly is not a small thing. You can't just trust any random realtor who doesn't understand how things work and the importance of getting things done in a timely manner. Rich is retired from service and Angie is a military spouse, so they genuinely get it in a way that matters.

I also really appreciated is that between the two of them, you get complementary yet somewhat varied perspectives. Angie might come at something one way, Rich will come at it from a different angle, and together they give you more than one way to think through a decision, which I found very valuable. On a more personal note, selling a house you've put real time, energy and money into can bring out some feelings during the selling process. They were grounded enough to let me process through it and still bring me back to the table ready to move forward. That kind of patience goes a long way. I'd recommend them to anyone buying or selling in the Bluemont area, or any other area in Northern Virginia, who is looking for a realtor.

We were introduced to Angie and Rich at Command Properties through our lender, and from start to finish they made what can be a really stressful process feel calm and manageable. We've purchased before, and this was genuinely the least stressful home buying experience we've had.

What set them apart was how personal they made it. They gave us their professional opinions while also giving us the space to have our own reactions to each property. Instead of just showing us house after house, they took the time to get to know our family and what we actually wanted, and you could tell. They'd say things like we can see your family in this neighborhood, and that kind of attention made all the difference. We found our home in Burke, VA in about six weeks, which honestly happened faster than we expected. Angie and Rich are the kind of real estate agents you want to stay friends with after the transaction is done, and we absolutely plan to.

Angie and the whole team (Sherrie, Chelsea, Melissa) did wonderfully managing our property for 5 years while we were overseas. I literally hardly had to think about it! Our house ended up having a lot of maintenance issues due to its age, but they made it easy for us and the tenants, who were still smiling throughout -which says a lot. The house was returned to us in perfect condition. I always appreciated the walk-throughs and photos, so we knew they were keeping a close watch. When we had vacancies, I always found new tenants on my own, and then smoothly transferred them to Command Properties. I even enjoy Angie’s newsletters about the market in NOVA which are really informative.

I've worked with other realtors over the years and some of them got the job done but just weren't personable. Angie and Rich at Command Properties are a completely different experience. As real estate agents and property managers, they bring a level of experience you can feel right away. We drove up from North Carolina not knowing exactly where we wanted to land in the Virginia area, and from the moment we met them for dinner just to feel things out, my wife and I looked at each other and said, let's sign right now. That doesn't happen. They have the credentials, the knowledge, the experience, and they're also just genuinely good people to spend time with. It's sad when it's over, honestly. We're already planning to have them over for steaks when the deck is built.

What stood out most was that they actually listened. They didn't show us houses that didn't fit our criteria, they didn't talk over us, and they never made us feel like we didn't know anything. When I'd ask pointed questions about foundations, HVAC systems, water heaters, they'd give me straight, honest answers. They were always frank and clear with us, and that honesty goes a long way. They also came loaded with resources for everything from carpet cleaning to contractors, and they were upfront that you need to stay on contractors to hold them accountable. That kind of candor is rare. On top of all that, the fact that they also manage properties gives them a broader perspective on real estate ownership, not just the transaction. We ended up in Woodbridge, and I wouldn't consider another realtor in the future, even 20 years from now. If they're retired by then, I'd still call them just to ask who they'd recommend.

Relocating from one state to another is a lot to take on, and finding the right realtors mattered more than anything. We were moving from North Carolina to Virginia and were introduced to Angie and Rich at Command Properties through a mutual friend. We asked to meet first just to see if they'd be a good fit, and we knew almost instantly that they were the team we wanted to work with.

What stood out most was that it never felt like it was about making a sale. There was never a moment where I questioned whether I could trust them. It always felt like it mattered to them that we found a home that was actually the right fit and a good investment for us, not just a deal for them. We ended up in Woodbridge, and they were with us through every step of the process. Angie and Rich are the real estate experts we’d call again, plain and simple.
